Austin 360 is the web version of the Austin American Statesman. This site is good for checking out local news, local movie schedules, etc.

Austin Citysearch

This site supposedly lets you know about local events. The primary focus of this site seems to be advertising for local merchants.

The Austin Chronicle

This site is the online version of the local free paper. You can use it to check out band listings and reviews among other things. It may not be as useful as some of the other sites, but it makes for interesting reading.

Local ABC affiliate. Probably the best local weather.
